Alpine Works role was as a principal contractor on this project and was engaged to replace the main LV switch gear which included new main 2000A switchboards and voltage optimiser units and new sub-main cable supplies to new distribution boards and items of plant throughout the building. A new 2000A remote generator connection unit was provided along with new rising busbars and metering network installations. There was also new lighting and small power to the switch rooms with earthing and bonding to both electrical and mechanical services. The scope of work also consisted of building works, fire stopping, asbestos management and removal works.
