Healthcare
Our reputation for our pre-eminent knowledge in this sector has become renowned for the complex installations of specialist medical facilities in most major London hospitals
The type of projects would typically include all building services within a refurbishment programme for a hospital or medical centre. The scope of installations would include all mechanical and electrical service installations within either a refurbishment, improvement or maintenance project, consisting of specialist medical equipment, nurse call systems, surgeons’ panels, IPS/UPS power supplies, medical gases and auxiliary medical equipment.
At the leading edge of technology, we also recently completed the installation of a multidisciplinary Hybrid Operating Room for the Royal Brompton Hospital, comprising the sophisticated design, complex planning and complete integration of many components into one comprehensive, functional system.
Education
At Alpine Works, we have built a reputation for successfully delivering numerous projects within the education sector. Our portfolio of projects includes many delivered at high-profile national universities that include Brunel, City of Westminster, Imperial College London, Kings College London, London School of Economics, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University College London and University of London as well as many schools and colleges. In addition to planned projects, PPM and emergency services, we provide design and build services throughout the spectrum of MEP services and have vast experience acting as both principal and sub-contractor
Heritage and Theatre
Alpine Works are privileged to work in several of London’s historic and culturally important buildings. Alpine have the knowledge and experience to design and install mechanical and electrical infrastructure into buildings that were not originally designed for these services. This often requires extensive investigations and reporting to ensure the installation remains sympathetic to the building fabric. Mechanical & electrical installations must not only be safe, legal and functional, but must also respect the historic character and fabric of old buildings
